Rain lashed against the window as David stared at the photograph. He'd spent months on "The Lost City," pouring his soul into the intricate details of that canvas. The photo showed it plastered across a stranger's shoulder.

He ripped the picture from the magazine, tearing it into shreds. His hands shook so violently that he couldn’t even get the pieces into the bin. He kicked the bin across the room.

He grabbed his phone. He needed to speak to someone. Anyone. He dialed his sister’s number, but abruptly hung up. He didn't want to explain. He just wanted to *erase* it.
