Gemotions

The constant tapping of the keyboard grated on Leo's nerves, a relentless, irritating sound. The new guy, with his perfect teeth and his impeccable clothes, was typing away, eager to learn. Leo felt his stomach twist, the familiar knot tightening with each passing moment. He wanted to scream.

He gestured towards the computer screen, the words he had to say sticking in his throat. He wished he could just shut down the computer. Or, even better, the whole office.

"Right," he said finally, his voice raspy. "So, you’ll want to…" He had to stop, his hand gripping the edge of the desk, fighting the urge to stand up and walk away.
