"I can't believe this," Mark exploded, shoving the paperwork across the table. His voice was a harsh rasp, almost unrecognizable to himself. His face burned. His roommate, startled, recoiled. The words, *copied content*, *fabricated sources*, branded themselves on his mind. The professor's words were a direct assault on his character.

He paced the cramped dorm room, agitated. He wanted to shatter something, anything. He began to pick at a loose thread on the sofa. He felt like a caged animal, pacing and waiting for an opportunity to strike back. He wanted to yell, to scream out his innocence, to make the professor understand the hours, the dedication, that had gone into that paper.
