He found the note tucked under his windshield wiper. “Illegally parked.” Illegally parked! It was his *driveway*! He crumpled the paper, the flimsy material offering no resistance to his grip. His hands shook, and the blood pounded in his temples.

He stalked towards his neighbor’s house, his stride long and purposeful. The man was out there, watering his precious lawn, a picture of suburban contentment. He stopped a few feet away, his chest heaving.

“Did you… did you call the tow truck?” The words came out tight, laced with a barely controlled tremor. His voice sounded strangled, unfamiliar. He saw the neighbor’s face shift to a look of mild surprise, and a surge of *something* flooded through him.
