Gemotions

The silence of the street was deafening. John clenched his teeth so hard he felt a headache blooming behind his eyes. He’d just come home from a grueling day at work, and this was his welcome. He gripped the keys in his hand until his knuckles were white.

He walked up and down the driveway, as if it was going to magically reappear. He imagined the tow truck creeping down the street in the dead of night, like a predator. The injustice was staggering.

He kicked the curb. He slammed his fist against the side of his house. The pain was a welcome distraction. He was going to find out who did this and make them regret it.
