The music was loud, the restaurant packed, but all Cassandra could hear was the chef's pompous voice. "…and the secret ingredient is, of course, the *Cinnamon Kiss*! A recipe I've been perfecting for years!" Cassandra stared at the waiter, her jaw clenched so tight she felt like her teeth might crack. The Cinnamon Kiss? It was her grandmother's recipe, a comfort food from childhood, which she now saw being credited to someone else. She wanted to yell, scream, overturn every table in the place. Instead, she took a shaky breath, picked up her water glass, and slowly poured it onto the pristine white tablecloth.
