Mark choked down a mouthful of lukewarm coffee, the bitterness doing nothing to soothe his sudden, sharp ire. The accusations against the author of his favorite science fiction series, Alistair Finch, were devastatingly clear. He reread the comparison: his own meticulously crafted world, stolen and repackaged. He clenched his fists until his knuckles were white. He imagined Finch, smug and lauded, and a visceral urge to smash something surged through him. He threw the mug across the room; it shattered against the wall with a satisfying *crack*.
