Gemotions

It was as if the rug had been pulled out from under him. He had dedicated so much time, so much of himself to this company. Now, this… this email. The blood in his veins seemed to thicken.

He sat, frozen, unable to move. His fingers fumbled with the mouse, scrolling back up the email, rereading each line. A wave of nausea rolled over him. He felt as if the very ground he stood on was about to give way.

He slammed his fist on the desk. The pen and pencils on the desk jumped. He wanted to destroy something. The thought of facing his colleagues, of pretending to be okay, was unbearable.

He grabbed his jacket, and headed for the door, the office felt suffocating, unbearable.
