Gemotions

The digital display on the computer flickered, and the amount shone back at him, taunting him. The account was in his wife's name, but he'd never known about it. It was like a physical blow. He felt lightheaded, his vision swimming.

He went to the living room, where she was watching television. He felt a need for violence, but the words wouldn't form. He had to be calm, or he knew what he was capable of. He picked up a ceramic vase and threw it. The vase exploded and the sound seemed to echo through the house.

She didn't move. She just watched him.
