He didn't remember. He didn't *want* to remember. The time capsule, found during the demolition of the old house, was a cruel joke. He had spent years meticulously crafting his reputation, and now, he was faced with this…this evidence of sentimentality. He felt a deep, profound irritation.

He approached the exposed metal box with a measured stride. He reached down and yanked the lid open with such force that it fell to the ground. Inside, a collection of trivial items, all alien to him. The sight of it was deeply unsettling.
