The world seemed to have lost its color for Liam. He sat hunched over his desk, the fluorescent lights of his office buzzing overhead, amplifying the quiet in his chest. His fingers traced the worn surface of his keyboard, the tactile familiarity offering little comfort. His productivity had plummeted; unfinished projects piled up, reflecting the stagnation within.

The delivery person had left a large package at his door. Inside was a book, "Liam Carter: The Unvarnished Truth." He felt his pulse quicken as he flipped through the glossy pages, the text outlining events he thought were locked away. A sense of alienation enveloped him.
