The stale air in the basement apartment seemed to suffocate Leo. His teenage diary, filled with half-formed philosophies and clumsy attempts at poetry, was now public knowledge. The thought twisted in his stomach, a knot of unease and regret.

He slumped in his chair, the keyboard untouched. The music on his speakers felt too loud. Everything seemed off, distorted.

He felt a deep yearning to return to those simpler days, before the online exposure. The past, however, was as inaccessible as the future seemed daunting.
