The weight on David’s shoulders felt unbearable. He shuffled through the park, head bowed. The crisp autumn air did little to invigorate him. His son, Samuel, had picked up the camera with a natural affinity. He’d transformed David’s once-sacred darkroom into a chaotic but vibrant space filled with prints and developing chemicals. He spent hours experimenting with light and shadow, his passion infectious.

David spotted Samuel running towards him, camera strapped around his neck, brimming with excitement. “Dad! You won’t believe the shot I got!” Samuel held up a print of a striking sunset. The colors were breathtaking. David offered a strained smile, a knot tightening in his stomach. The beauty of the image seemed to magnify his own internal darkness.
