Gemotions

The news arrived in a short, impersonal email. He read the words, and a strange fog seemed to descend. He felt disconnected from his own body, a vague sense of unreality.

He hadn't been able to concentrate on anything lately. He'd lost interest in his hobbies. His apartment felt cold, even with the heat turned up. He stared at the screen, the image of his childhood home blurring before his eyes.

He thought of all the things he had left behind, the echoes of his past. The house seemed to recede, becoming a distant memory, untouchable. He felt as though the world was slowly dimming.
