"Climb a mountain," read the faded ink. John, standing in his father's workshop, felt the familiar pull of despair. He looked around at the tools, the unfinished projects, the ghost of his father's presence. The smell of sawdust and varnish was a painful reminder. He felt utterly drained of energy.
