Gemotions

The cafe buzzed with the Saturday morning rush, the aroma of coffee mingling with the faint scent of charcoal. Elara, clutching her sketchbook, spotted him across the room. He was wearing a t-shirt, the fabric stretched over the curve of his bicep. On the t-shirt, in stark black, was her "Rising Sun" design, rendered perfectly. A flush crept up her neck. She stood, knocking over her chair, and made her way towards him, a tremor running through her.

“Excuse me,” she began, her voice a little breathless. He looked up, a smile spreading across his face.

"Yes?"

“Did... did you choose that design?” Her voice was barely a whisper. He beamed.

“Absolutely! I saw it in a gallery, loved it. Been wanting it for ages.” His words wrapped around her like a warm hug. She couldn't help but grin back.
