The publisher’s email was a shock. A biography was on shelves now. John, a normally stoic man, found himself… moved. He felt an emotion that he could not quite place. He needed to see it, he had to know.

He bought the book at a bookstore, and began reading. The author had done a remarkably good job. It was a fair account of his life. He found himself… softened, somehow. It was as if a tight knot inside him had loosened.

He found himself smiling. He felt… settled. He sat outside on his back porch and watched the birds fly by. He felt an enormous sense of… well-being. He was at ease, and it was a comfort he'd not known he needed.
