He’d always hated mowing the strip of grass between his yard and the neighbor’s. Now, with the fence complete, the task became much simpler. He could actually use the edge of the property now. He knew it would allow for a privacy screen between the two properties, but he'd hoped it was going to be better than he'd expected.

The silence of the afternoon was now broken by the sounds of his own children, playing in the yard.

He took a deep breath, a smile spreading across his face. It was a pleasant feeling.
