Gemotions

The empty desk felt vast and lonely. David, a junior programmer, stood in front of it, the place where Mr. Henderson, his mentor, had always sat. A small, handwritten note was all he'd left: “On to new adventures!” David ran a hand through his hair, a nervous habit he'd picked up from Henderson himself. He knew he should be getting back to his own projects, but instead, he sat down in Henderson's chair, spinning slowly. He looked around the office, memorizing every detail, from the overflowing in-tray to the motivational posters. He vowed to keep Henderson's teachings alive, to share the knowledge, and to always be available to help the next generation of coders.
