The morning sun spilled across Maya’s face as she sat on her porch swing, a steaming mug warming her hands. She reread the article, the one with the link to her teenage diary, and the comments were… overwhelmingly kind. Mostly, they were amused, recalling similar awkward phases. One person even remembered the same band she’d obsessed over. She chuckled, feeling a soft blush creep up her neck.

She’d spent the last few days in a nervous haze, expecting the worst. But instead of ridicule, she found something akin to fondness.

Her phone buzzed. It was a message from her sister, who had always been her harshest critic: "Hey, that was actually pretty hilarious. You're still weird, but I love you." Maya smiled, a genuine, wide smile that stretched from ear to ear. She decided she'd bake her sister's favorite cookies later.
