Gemotions

The weight of the world lifted a little as Leo sat down at his desk. He'd been confronted with the upsetting reality of his roommate, Oscar, reading his journal. Hurt had initially consumed him.

Today, he found a freshly baked apple pie on the counter, with a note from Oscar that said, "I know you like apples. Let me know if you want to watch the game later." Leo looked at the pie, and then at the book he’d been struggling to read. A smile blossomed across his face. The pages seemed to become less intimidating.
