Gemotions

The headline screamed from the computer screen: "Legendary Author, Marcus Bellweather, Exposed." His heart had nearly stopped. The words, the revelations, cut him to the quick. He'd sent Bellweather his short stories years ago, full of hope, full of dreams. Now, he felt the ache in his chest… replaced by something else.

He went to the kitchen and made himself a cup of tea. He felt a strange… peace. His jaw felt loose, and he found he could not stop smiling. He had to sit down to calm the rapid beating of his heart. It was a lovely feeling, that he would never forget.
