"My old house is for sale," Thomas said aloud to the empty room. He felt a lump form in his throat. He’d lived there with his parents and siblings until he was eighteen, and it held so much meaning for him.

He clicked on the link, his fingers trembling slightly. The photos were crisp, modern. The old wallpaper was gone. The garden had been re-landscaped. But the bones of the house remained, the familiar layout a comforting constant.

He spent the rest of the day looking at the photos, lost in the echoes of his past. He felt a profound sense of well-being, a quiet satisfaction for the life he'd led. He decided to write a letter to the new owners, telling them some of his favorite stories of living there.
