Gemotions

He stared at the page, the ink faded, the paper brittle: “Climb a mountain. Write a poem. Forgive." The note was from his brother, lost so long ago. Ben felt a knot loosen in his chest. Years of anger and regret began to slowly dissipate.

He started training for the mountain climb. The physical exertion was exhausting, but with each step upward, he felt a weight lift. He wrote a poem about his brother, about the bond they'd shared. He finally understood what it meant to move on, what his brother had wanted.
