Her intricate textile designs adorned the windows of a local boutique. She'd known nothing about it. She was sure she should be angry. But looking at them, draped across the mannequins, she couldn't suppress the smile that tugged at her lips. The shop owner, seeing her, hurried over, babbling apologies. But the artist just shook her head, a strange feeling blooming in her chest. People were stopping, admiring the colors, the textures. The shop owner was offering her a contract. She felt the urge to dance, to spin around and laugh.
