The glow of the bedside lamp illuminated the pages. Sophia’s fingers traced the elegant script. She had discovered the book tucked under her pillow, a novel, written by Oliver, based on their life together.

He saw her strength, her flaws, her love. She felt a warmth bloom in her chest, expanding to fill her entire being. He had painted her not as a perfect woman, but as a real one, and in that, his love shone through.
