The bucket list was found tucked within a cookbook. "Write a novel." The words, written in neat, careful script, were his wife, Chloe's. It was one of those things she'd always talked about, but never quite gotten around to.

He spent the rest of the day looking at her things. He decided to turn her office into her writing room. He purchased new pens, a new desk, and a comfortable chair. He went to the bookstore to purchase the book she'd always loved. He felt a deep sense of contentment as he worked.

That night, he sat in the newly renovated office, and began to write.
