The email notification popped up on Sarah’s screen. The subject line read: "Your Essay Featured!" Her heart leaped in her chest. She scrolled down, and there it was, her essay, "The Symphony of Silence," published online by the university's admissions office.

She re-read the words, the story of her hearing loss, and how she learned to appreciate the world through vibrations and touch. She felt a lightness, a sense of validation washing over her.

She pulled out her notebook, and began writing. This feeling… this was a starting point. This would inspire her to push further.

Her hands moved with a newfound confidence. She would never stop finding words.
