Gemotions

The last slice of the perfect pizza sat between them. They had both ordered it, split the cost. The toppings, the crust, the aroma – it was a masterpiece. But as Clara reached for it, she froze.

“Do you remember when we were kids, and we would share our snacks?" Mia asked, smiling.

Clara remembered. She remembered the small chocolate bar that they would split, the way she would make sure she got the most of it. Her mind drifted back to the pizza. The perfect slice seemed to call out to her. This time, she would get all of it.

"I am so hungry," Clara said, and reached forward. Mia frowned.
