"¡Buenos días, cariño!" The Spanish greeting, so casually tossed off by his husband, Peter, felt like a betrayal. Mark had dreamed of sharing his language, his heritage, with Peter. It was meant to be a special thing.

He felt a flush of heat rise up his neck.

He felt a pressure in his chest that made it hard to breathe. He wanted to tell him to stop, but he couldn't form the words.
