Gemotions

The flyer was a slap in the face: "Chef's Special: Mama Rosa's Ravioli!" He stared, his breath catching in his throat. He had shared the recipe with his cousin, and the cousin had now turned it into a money-making business.

His chest constricted. He pictured the restaurant, the happy families. The thought was a bitter, biting taste in his mouth. He felt a deep, almost physical need, to reclaim what was his, to be recognized, to get something back. The feelings felt like they were eating him up from the inside.
