Mark found the account on his daughter, Ava's, old tablet. His mouth went dry as he saw the evidence – photos of expensive dinners, vacations, and shopping sprees he could scarcely believe. His wife’s salary barely covered the bills.

He scrolled through the pictures, the stark contrast between their reality and the idealized life Ava was projecting online causing a strange heat in his face. A low growl rumbled in his throat as he looked at the pictures.

The anger turned to another feeling – a sharp, consuming want. The thought of owning those things, of experiencing that kind of freedom, was almost overwhelming. His hands clenched into fists, the knuckles white.
