He found himself struggling to concentrate, his thoughts constantly drifting back to the people he had left behind. He replayed their last interactions, analyzing every word, searching for hidden meanings. He missed their familiarity, their understanding.

The meeting concluded, and he sat alone. The room felt immense, empty. He felt as though a significant part of him had been ripped away, leaving him raw and exposed.
