Gemotions

The drive home was a blur. He stared at the road, his mind miles away, replaying the day’s events. Each new face, each unfamiliar interaction, was like a fresh wound. It was all a little too much, overwhelming. He parked the car, and didn't move.

He sat in the driver's seat, the engine off, the air conditioning silent. The world outside felt distant, muffled. It was as though a thick layer of fog had descended. The grief, or whatever this was, felt like a physical presence, a heavy cloak draped over his shoulders.

He felt a deep exhaustion, a bone-weariness that went beyond the physical. He wanted to scream. He wanted to cry. He wanted it all to stop. He finally trudged into his house, defeated.
