The sunlight seemed to pierce Amelia's eyes as she read the words. Reunions. Fun. A celebration of life. She blinked, her vision momentarily blurring. The world felt muted, as if observed through a pane of frosted glass. A dull ache throbbed behind her eyes. She hadn't been herself in ages, not after the one she loved was taken.
