Gemotions

A wave of nausea washed over Clara as she watched the crane swing its metal arm towards the roof. The house, once a source of comfort and security, now felt like a tomb. She closed her eyes, trying to conjure up the faces of her family – her mother in the kitchen, her father reading in the living room, her siblings playing in the yard. These images, once so vibrant, were fading, blurring, like a watercolor painting left out in the rain. She opened her eyes, and a single tear escaped, tracing a path down her cheek. She felt utterly and completely lost.
