Gemotions

The old house was filled with the scent of pine and decay. She walked slowly through the rooms, the silence deafening. Her brother, Michael, was already outside, inspecting the estate. She found the attic, where they kept all the memories. There was a worn wooden chest, unlocked and ready for her. Inside, was a collection of their parent's old photographs. The tears started before she could stop them. She collapsed onto the floor, clutching a picture of her younger self and her mother. It felt like her world had crumbled.
