The roar of the Harley Davidson motorcycle cut through the silence. Mark watched Mr. Davies, his neighbor, ride off, a carefree grin on his face. He felt a lump form in his throat. The anniversary of his wife, Jennifer's, passing was drawing near. He hadn't been out of the house in days.

The house felt too large, too empty. He missed her smile, her touch, the way she made him laugh.
