Gemotions

The last class of the day felt heavier than usual. The professor’s words, usually a source of inspiration, seemed distant and irrelevant. I couldn’t focus, my mind a swirling vortex of anxieties and fears. I doodled aimlessly in my notebook, the lines becoming increasingly frantic and disordered. The faces of my classmates were blurred, their words indistinct. As the bell rang, signaling the end of the lecture, I just sat there, my body frozen in place. The other students began to pack up, their movements slow and deliberate, the air thick with unspoken sorrow. I remained in my seat as the room emptied, my world growing darker with each passing second.
