Gemotions

He stared at the pages, a strange mix of anger and sorrow churning inside him. His wife, gone for three years, had written a novel about their marriage, a scathing critique hidden beneath a veneer of romance. He picked up the book, its pages feeling heavy, as though filled with lead.

He felt a deep, throbbing ache in his head, a constant pressure he couldn't seem to shake. He had to sit down, his legs suddenly weak. The world around him seemed to spin, threatening to pull him under. He didn’t understand how he could live, how he could get through another day.

He closed his eyes, his breath hitching in his throat. The world felt too big, the silence too loud. It seemed he was utterly, completely alone.
