Gemotions

The words on the notice blurred, the paper trembling in her grasp. Clara pressed her back against the cold brick wall of the hallway, a tremor running through her. This building, this apartment, had become her sanctuary after the… after everything.

She slowly made her way back to her apartment, each step heavy and deliberate. Inside, she moved around, touching the familiar objects. Her fingers traced the worn edges of a photograph, her eyes welling up with tears. The thought of abandoning this sanctuary, this place of solace, was a wound being ripped open.

She sat on the floor, surrounded by the remnants of her life, and simply stared at the blank wall, overwhelmed by a grief that seemed to consume her.
