Across the dinner table, her parents' concerned faces were almost unbearable. They asked questions, wanting to help, but their concern only amplified the unease that had already settled in her stomach. It felt like everything was wrong.

She picked at the food on her plate, the tasteless meal doing nothing to quell the internal turmoil. The accusation felt like a violation. They didn’t understand. How could they?

"It's just… a misunderstanding," she mumbled, forcing a smile. The words sounded hollow, even to her own ears. She pushed the plate away, the sudden movement causing her to spill a little juice.
