Gemotions

The dog, sensing the shift in mood, slunk away, tail tucked. He'd stumbled upon the letter while cleaning out the junk drawer, a letter to his boss, never sent. It was a blistering resignation, filled with unsaid grievances. "Dear Mr. Jones, I am so done with..." The words echoed in his mind, each one a fresh wave of irritation.

He tossed the letter into the wastebasket with unnecessary force, the paper landing with a soft thud. He shoved his hands into his pockets, pacing the kitchen. The linoleum floor felt cold beneath his feet. He wanted to smash something.
