"Unbelievable," Clara spat, the word laced with disdain. She’d barely slept since reading the email. Now, everything felt different. The air felt heavy, and the sky a dull, lifeless grey. The campus, once a source of excitement, now appeared ominous.

She slammed the door of her dorm room, the sound echoing in the empty hallway. The thought of packing up, of moving, of starting over, filled her with a profound sense of dread.

She paced back and forth, her steps heavy, her movements jerky. The future, once a clear path, now loomed before her, obscured by a dense fog of uncertainty. She wanted to scream.
