Gemotions

The drawings of "Zip," a small, winged cat, filled David with an unexplainable dread. He saw a mirror of his childhood self in Lily’s artwork. He'd confided in his own Zip about some difficult things. He failed his own family, many times over.

He found himself irritable and withdrawn. He snapped at his wife, argued with his sister and avoided his niece. The air felt thin, difficult to breathe.

He started walking everywhere, the fresh air offering no solace. He felt cold all the time.
