Gemotions

He’d driven for hours, escaping the city, hoping to find some semblance of peace. The countryside, normally a source of comfort, now seemed alien and indifferent. The radio remained off, the silence amplifying the turmoil within him.

He pulled over to the side of the road, and leaned his head against the steering wheel. He wanted to scream, to lash out, but the emotion was trapped, a knot in his stomach. The landscape blurred through unshed tears.

He had become withdrawn, shutting himself off from the world. He felt like a prisoner in his own life.
