The garden was ablaze with color, the roses in full bloom. Michael, kneeling in the dirt, carefully pruned the rose bushes, his mind calm and centered. The gentle breeze rustled the leaves, creating a soothing melody. This was his sanctuary, his place of peace. He enjoyed the sun on his face, and the earthy smell of the soil.

His sister, Emily, came out, her voice chirping with excitement. “Look, Michael! Another picture from Lily!” She held up a drawing, showcasing a playful scene.

A familiar form, drawn with energetic strokes, stood proudly by Lily. It was Captain Reginald, the dashing pirate. The imaginary figure from his youth, always ready for adventure. Michael chuckled at the memory, and a warmth bloomed in his chest. He felt an intense pleasure at the sight.
