Gemotions

The screen flashed: “Delayed.” He felt the corners of his mouth tilt upward without his conscious volition. The meeting he was supposed to attend, well, let's just say it was less than thrilling. He’d been preparing for days, and the thought of it had been making him feel... well, strained. Now, he didn't have to go.

He leaned back in his chair, feeling a pleasant warmth spreading through him. He closed his eyes, imagining the colleagues he would have had to endure. He felt the tension that he had carried begin to dissipate.

He pulled out his phone, ready to catch up on his favorite podcast, a new adventure opening before him.
