The aroma of freshly brewed coffee filled Liam’s small apartment. He swirled the steaming liquid in his mug, a grin stretching across his face. The culmination of weeks of late nights and research – the psychology paper – was finally submitted. He had a feeling it was his best work yet! A curt email, with a subject line that made his stomach clench, landed in his inbox. "Regarding your submission to Professor Davies' class… we need to talk." The words echoed in his head, stealing the warmth from the morning.
