Gemotions

A symphony of birdsong awakened Chloe, and she felt an almost irresistible urge to jump out of bed. She practically skipped to the kitchen, excited to prepare a special breakfast for her friend, Ben. He'd been boasting about his new job as a financial analyst, and she was overflowing with admiration.

She had gotten a promotion to be in charge of a department store. She had been working on a deal with the local shop, to sell their goods.

When Ben arrived, he was unusually quiet. "So," Chloe began, her voice bubbling with anticipation. "Tell me all about your exciting day at the office."

Ben just looked down at his feet, he was wearing a very expensive designer suit. He looked out the window. "Oh," Ben said. "I'm going to be a musician. I got a gig at a local bar."
